Our Story
Grace & Emma Banff started with a coffee, a hiking trail, and a shared frustration: neither Grace Harper nor Emma Harper could find clothing that worked for the way they actually lived, between mountain mornings, market weekends, and evenings out with friends. So in a tiny space just off Banff Avenue, the two of them started stocking exactly that.
They weren't chasing department store racks or big-city trends. What mattered was the mountain town: pieces that are practical but pretty, layers that survive a change in weather, dresses that don't need to be babied. Over time, women from Banff and beyond made one of their pieces a regular in their closet.
For Grace and Emma, the shop was never really about clothes. It was about giving women in a mountain town somewhere to shop that understood them.
A Boutique With Character
Walk into the store and you'll find hand-picked textures, layered knits, easy-moving dresses, and plenty of small details Grace and Emma have gathered from markets, small producers, and their own closets over the years.
It doesn't look like a showroom, and it was never supposed to. That's the whole point: a boutique that feels lived-in, a little imperfect, and built for women who'd rather have one piece they love than ten they don't.
Thoughtfully Chosen
Every collection is picked with a very specific woman in mind: someone who wants to look put together without spending an hour getting there. Elegant cuts, forgiving fits, shapes that flatter without needing adjusting all day.
From maxi dresses to three-piece sets, everything is chosen to be worn immediately, not just admired on a hanger.
Our Revival Sale
We'll be honest with you: the last few months have been tough. Tourism in Banff slowed down more than we planned for, and for a while we weren't sure the shop would make it through the season. Our Revival Sale is our way of fighting for the store we built from nothing — and we can't do it without you.
We've pulled our favourite pieces and marked them down by up to 70%, because keeping them in your closets and out of storage is what keeps this shop alive. Every dress, every cut, every piece made for everyday ease carries a part of what Grace and Emma have built here — and every order helps keep that going.
